The Civil Procedure Rules govern the process of conducting civil litigation through the courts. The aims of this paper are to introduce the general concepts of the CPR, to explore in more detail those Rules of particular importance to surveyors and to consider the impact of the Rules on other forms of dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation.
